CHIMERA
- Cross-excitation
What is CHIMERA?
CHIMERA is a four-engine hybrid instrument for macOS, coming when it is ready. A layer is modal resonance, FM, additive or bass, playing its own sound. One layer can strike another instead of being heard.
What it does
Cross-excitation
An FM stack becomes the force driving a wooden tube. The attack is synthesis, the ring is physical, and it is one sound.
Four layers, two spaces
Independent spaces up to two minutes each, either feeding the other, with freeze.
The Whole Studio · launch price
$1,715 of audio products. $199.
All 35 products available at launch, plus SIMLAF 2 when it ships in December 2026. KAMILI and KARAKANA join when each is released. $199 until 31 January 2027, then $399.
